WGBC :: About Us
About World Gospel Bible College
Message from the Director

World Gospel Bible College (WGBC) was established in 1996 and achieved NZQA registration and course accreditation in 1999. The founding vision is to recruit and produce effective Christian workers who are established in truth and empowered to proclaim and defend Christian beliefs in a manner consistent with Christian character for the promotion of the Christian faith.

The college is committed to high standards but this aim will always be in harmony with an emphasis on applied theology so that the curriculum effectively serves those who want to become practitioners of pastoral ministry, evangelism and mission.

We welcome you to study at World Gospel Bible College. Please use this website to explore the courses and opportunities available to you. If we can assist you in any way please contact us.

Paul Park
Founder of World Gospel Bible College, Auckland
Partnership with Alphcrucis College

Alphacrucis College was opened in February 1987. It was accorded recognition as an approved training institution by the General Council of the Assemblies of God in New Zealand in October 1987.

In July 2006 a plan was launched to enter into a formal partnership with Southern Cross College (Sydney). Over the past five years we have seen increasing integration between the Australian and New Zealand campuses. Among the benefits of this partnership has been the ability to cooperate on a range of courses, to foster a trans-Tasman faculty and to partner in the delivery of higher education. In 2009 we followed the lead of the Australian campus and changed our name to Alphacrucis College.

Alphacrucis College has trained up many young practitioners of pastoral ministry, evangelism and mission and established its reputation as one of national colleges in New Zealand.

WGBC's course delivery will operate fully under the policies and procedures of the ACNZ(Alphacrucis College in New Zealand) QMS(Quality Management System), including staff qualifications, assessment, moderation, course delivery, student guidance and support systems and so forth. Therefore, for students, high-quality of education environment(for instance, broad study resource is available) is provided and more opportunities are given to graduates for further studies in Alphacrucis College.

Our Vision and Mision

Our Vision :
Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation by recruiting and producing effective Christian workers who are established in truth and empowered to proclaim and defend Christian beliefs in a manner consistent with Christian character for the promotion of the Christian faith.

Our Mission :
The mission of the WGBC COLLEGE is to prepare students with an exceptional education, an excellent spirit, and a servant heart for effective long-term service to the community as church leaders, community leaders, church planters and team members both nationally and internationally.

Our Doctrinal Statement

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament in their entirety to be the only written Word of God, and therefore infallible as originally given. They are final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

We believe in one God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, of the same essence, equal in power and glory, and having precisely the same attributes and perfections.

We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a propitiatory and substitutionary sacrifice. He was bodily raised on the third day.

We believe that man was created in the image of God but the whole human race fell in the fall of the first Adam. Before regeneration all men are alienated from God and are morally and spiritually dead through their sins and are justified by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ will return in Person to gather His elect, to manifest His Kingdom in power and glory, and to judge the world in righteousness. Those who belong to Him will with Him enjoy eternal blessedness; those who are outside of Christ will receive eternal judgment.
